Why the A2C MB05 Is My Go-To Mountain Bike Mount

I’m Lucas — a semi-pro mountain biker. When I started using the A2C MB05 phone mount, I realized how much difference the right gear makes.

When I’m not training in the mountains, I’m scouting new trails, collecting ride data, or hammering through forest tracks. I’m not what you'd call a flashy rider — I care more about pure riding, about rhythm and precision. And to me, having a phone mounted on the bike isn’t optional. I used to think a phone mount just needed to “stay on.”

Back when I was riding casually, I didn’t pay much attention to gear. I tried the usual stuff — budget models, knockoffs, random mounts.Phones fell off. Mounts slipped. Some took forever to adjust. Others didn’t even work when I had gloves on.

But I never thought it mattered.Not until I started riding seriously.

Funny thing is, the first time I used the A2C MB05 was totally random.

A buddy handed it to me before a training run and said,

I had gloves on. Hands were sweaty. But installing it took way less time than I expected.

The MB05 is highly compatible — it wraps around pretty much any handlebar size. Once you strap it in, slide in your phone, click — locked.

Truth is, you can’t.

I still remember the most embarrassing moment I had before using the MB05 — I rode fast, took beautiful lines through the turns, and only realized at the end of the ride… my phone was gone. It had flown off somewhere mid-run. I had to go back down the trail looking for it.

And there was that one time I hit a shallow rut. The whole bike shook hard. I thought for sure the phone was toast.But when I looked —Still there. Didn’t move a centimeter. I laughed out loud. All I could think was,“Solid as hell.”

Something else worth pointing out —

MB05 is made from aerospace-grade CNC aluminum. Lightweight, but solid. I’ve used it for several weeks on some gnarly trails, and it hasn’t come loose once.

The dual-axis adjustment works like a dream — smooth, firm, and most importantly: it stays put. No wobble. No sag.

What I love most is that I forget it’s even there. It doesn’t show off. It just works.

Sometimes I almost forget I’m using it — until the moment I need my phone, and there it is. Right where I left it. Still holding strong.

I remember getting back to the garage that day, after a brutal 17km ride. I took the MB05 off — and the phone was still locked in, tight as ever. Didn’t shift. Didn’t slip.

That’s when I realized — I hadn’t touched it once.But it had been there for every moment.

Silent. Still. Solid. Like a quiet warrior that never blinks.
